Brian Bendis Talks Zac Efron
March 3rd, 2010 byBrian Bendis, creator of Fire, was recently interviewed by IGN Comics and talked in some depth about Zac and his role in the development of their new film.
IGN Comics: So one of the more shocking news items related to you was you driving around with Zac Efron. I know my whole office was talking about it – “Like, what the hell?” It’s interesting, when I go into a store I see Jinx, I see Powers… I don’t see Fire…
Bendis: Fire actually sells really well, perhaps because it’s cheaper. That’s why I remastered it, because I was selling a lot of these and it was an earlier work…. I hate to tell you how old the book is, that’s how old it is… Zac Efron was something like four years old or something. –laughs- But it’s constantly been in print this whole time. And every time I get back the accruals for the quarter I’m like “Really! Okay!” –laughs- It’s just odd and funny.

I’m Too Young For This!

I’m Too Young For This! is a charity foundation that supports young adults who are affected by cancer. Zac Efron was recently pictured ‘giving cancer the bird‘ with cancer survivor Emily Hobson. He is committed to the organisation, its cause and it’s active support of the young adult cancer movement. Zac has been sporting the charity’s wristbands for a few months now including recently wearing one to a showing of Avatar.

Zac to present at 82nd Academy Awards
February 22nd, 2010 byBeverly Hills, CA (February 22, 2010) — Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will present at the 82nd Academy Awards®, telecast producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic announced today. This will be Cyrus and Efron’s second appearance, and Lautner and Stewart’s debut on an Academy Awards telecast.//
Efron is currently working on “Charlie St. Cloud,” scheduled to be released later this year. His other film credits include “Hairspray,” “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” “17 Again” and “Me and Orson Welles.”
The 82nd Academy Awards will air March 7th at 5PM PT/ PM ET on ABC.

Zac makes Warner Brothers Deal

I’ve learned the studio has just given a first look 2-year deal to Zac Efron. And Warner Bros plans to buy pitches, spec scripts, and books for Efron and his still unformed company to develop as star vehicles. His manager, Alchemy Entertainment’s Jason Barrett, will be an exec producer on the projects.
