Fox has snapped up life rights for the true crime project Narc, based on the actual story of an All-American college kid-turned-police informant. Zac Efron is attached to star as a student, frat president, and lacrosse team captain who’s busted for drugs intended for a party, then secretly turns narc and helps the cops bust criminals while carrying on his BMOC campus life. Efron’s manager and producing partner Jason Barrett will exec produce with Underground-repped Doug Banker.

As for Narc - described as a “college Donnie Brasco,” Fox is tapping a scribe from its writers program. Julie and Rick Yorn are producing for LBI and Matthew Reilly will co-produce.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zac is set to star in a brand new thriller entitled ‘Autobahn‘ and co-starring Amber Heard. Check out all the details below!

Zac Efron and Amber Heard have boarded IM Global’s chase thriller Autobahn, which Eran Creevy will shoot this fall on location in Germany.

In the script, written by F. Scott Frazier and Creevy, an American backpacker (Efron) is hired as a pickup driver for a gang of German drug smugglers. But when a job goes awry, he’s forced to flee from his employers, leading to high-speed chases around Munich. Heard will play his girlfriend.

IM Global, which will shop the project to foreign buyers in Cannes, says Autobahn is in the spirit of Gone in 60 Seconds and Unstoppable.

Zac’s new movie At Any Price co-starring Dennis Quaid, Kim Dickens and Heather Graham and directed by Ramin Bahrani, hits limited American theaters today.

Build up to the movie has been long with production way back in 2011, followed by premieres at Toronto, SxSW, Tribeca and Venice’s Film Festivals over the past year. The story centers on a family in the farming industry and the struggles they face with production, competition and even relationships. Zac appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night (April 25th) to promote At Any Price. Rocking a sleek black suit and with his hair slicked back, Zac chatted about his pets, working with his shirt off, being badass in life and his movies, and more! Check the video out above (Note: Zac is featured from 16.04 – 25.25)

As we exclusively announced earlier this month, Zac was in attendance at last night’s Tribeca Film Festival screening of ‘At Any Price‘ (April 19th).

The movie is part of the ‘Spotlight Film Series’ within the festival with the event taking place at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. In a sleek three piece suit ensemble, Zac posed on the red carpet alongside co-stars Maika Monroe, Heather Graham and Dennis Quaid, as well as members of the crew.

Later in the evening, Zac was snapped at the after-party and posed by the stage with his fellow cast members.

After a day of press in the city, Zac attended the ’At Any Price’ New York Screening hosted by Bally and The Cinema Society.

Rocking a Balenciaga suit, Zac posed alongside the entire main cast including Heather Graham, Maika Monroe and also director Ramin Bahrani in front of the hoardings. The red carpet event was held at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema and, as we officially announced at the beginning of the month, Zac will be in attendance at the Tribeca Film Festival screening of the movie, taking place tongiht at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Zac appeared on Good Morning America earlier this morning in New York City (April 18th) to chat about upcoming project At Any Price. Rocking a blue shirt and his current favourite Nudie jeans, Zac chatted about choosing roles, the racing elements of the movie, working with Ramin Bahrani and more!

At Any Price is in limited release in LA & New York theaters on April 26th and stars Zac alongside Dennis Quaid.
