Just when you think you couldn’t love him anymore he does something so special for these kids. I’m sure he allowed these kids sometime to forget about their illness and have a fun afternoon.

Seriously more leather??? Lol I love the fact that he is wearing the same coat as the HSM 2 DVD release. He is such a good guy by using his celebrity for good and nor evil lol. I read the blurb on JJ and Lori is so sweet! That is a really high compliment for him and she just said what I thought of him.
I’m glad he helped these kids take their minds off of their illness…he really is too sweet.

Do you think it’s hard for celebrities/Zac to do work like this? I was looking through these photos last night and felt so sad. It’s never fair for one to become terminally ill, but there’s something unjust and even harder to swallow when it’s a child that’s affected. I wonder if it’s the happiness a star brings that makes the visit less difficult? I’m just wondering aloud (since I know we can’t truly know 100% how Zac/anyone feels regarding the hospital visits)…

I was thinking about that too Auds, it has to be hard to see these kids that are terminally ill, but then you see that smile on their face when they see their fav celebrity walk in and hand them not only one gift but two. Celebrities show these kids that even though you are sick, people are still here for you and we care. We really care about what happens to you and are here for you if you come out of it. I mean look at Zac’s face in that pic in the post, he looks happy that he is doing some good for these kids. Sometimes thats all it takes to make a celeb realize its not about making money, its about making these kids happy. Even if it means seeing them at their worst, that child’s smile is what you work for. At least thats what i would do.

Audrey, thats a very good point, and I’d say it is probably very hard for them. I’m a children’s social worker and I see awlful things happen to children all the time, and it’s still incredibly hard and it’s very upsetting. I imagine being a celebrity and visiting children like this is very hard, but as Zac is doing, you kind of have to put that to one side and be happy for them, let them forget about whatever it is they are going through and be happy in that moment, for that short time. It is so sweet of him to do this, and he is obviously very good with kids. I have so much admiration for him, it is a true and worthy cause, he will have made those children’s day.

I’m sure it is Audrey. He’d have to be superman for it not to effect him. I just love that despite how uncomfortable he might feel or how difficult it is for him to be there–he is there with his megawatt smile being the Efron we love and support. There are so many wonderful pictures and you can tell the girls are so smitten with him. Thank you Zac for taking the time out of your busy schedule and spreading holiday cheer for so many!!

Hi guys!! Finally I’m able to drop in and say hello. It’s my winter break (2 weeks of laziness people!!) and I just wanted to come by. I’ll warn you guys now; you’ll be getting a load of me throughout these days. Right now, it’s snowing. Nothing new there since it has been snowing for the past 29 hours or so (YES HOURS!!!!!).
Before I leave though I just wanted to comment a little on Zac’s honorable action. It touched me to see how amazing he really is. Tears were flowing while I was looking through the pictures. One of the little girls just made me burst out in tears. I have seen a report on this little girl. She was involved in a fire. I don’t have many of the details but I will tell you though, the way Zac’s expression looked while he took the picture with the girl just said it all. It was unfortunate how she couldn’t walk over to him and say hello because of all those cables and machines holding her back. This just made me realize how lucky I really am to be healthy. I mean you don’t have to deal with all that shit they deal with at such a young age. Right now I’m getting pretty emotional again so I guess I’m going to say goodbye. I’ll talk to you guys probably later today.
Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

December 20th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
woZie- I know, when I take a step back it makes me wonder what in the hell it is that I sometimes think/complain is so tough. Sure, I may have my own struggles but I’m not fighting for my life.
December 20th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Exactly, Audrey! I just think about all these people that are perfectly healthy, taking their own lives away. And then I look at these kids, working their hardest to stay alive. Sometimes it just amazes me how ironic this world really is.

These pictures totally made my night! They are just so, so sweet. Each one. The kids are adorable.
Though I’m sure days like this affect Zac, what a wonderful feeling it must be for him to know he has helped, even if it’s in a small way. So many times, you look at kids who are sick and feel so helpless because there’s not much you can do. You can volunteer or donate, but sometimes the options are limited. How great it would be to know (even if it’s kind of hard to believe) that just by showing up, sharing some time, taking some pics and signing some autographs that you can brighten someone’s day and bring some happiness to them. Zac always seems so ‘in the moment’ that I’m sure each kid felt special when it was their turn. I’m sure he loves having the opportunity to meet so many great kids–I know I would.

He is really good with kids. I can’t get enough of :41-:51 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-1WNUxRh6o. The way she energetically not only ran toward but literally jumped into his arms and the his non-hesitant response to pick her right up. Gets me every time.

Adorable!! I hadn’t seen that video before. That little girl was sooooooooo cute just running right up to him and not stopping until she was in his arms and had given him a kiss.
I don’t care how good of an actor you might be, you can’t fake that kind of ease and kindness. That’s completely his personality coming through. I heart it.

Sue- (sorry the response is a bit delayed…) Totally agree with you. I’m not one to get overly emotional about much, and we’ve seen Zac and the HSM cast around children before, but that particular moment turned on the waterworks and I remember exclaiming “oh my gosh!” out loud. I don’t come back to look over photos very often, but these are simply divine.

I think that this is why i love the HSm cast. Even though they are famous they still know that there are less unfortunate people out there. Zac has always had this endearing quality about him and seeing that vid just made me smile.(You can even tell he will be a great dad one day, sorry had to say it especially from V’s look on her face too.) They all have that special quality about them and i think that’s why people love them so much.

Guys, just quick question: Is the MP3 player EVER going to get fixed? I remember that before I went missing it had the same message written in the same pink letters…

It’s coming back eventually. I don’t have an exact date.

Okey-dokey, Audrey. I was just wondering.
