Annie Leibovitz “D23″ Photoshoot
Zac (portraying savior and dragon slaying hero Prince Phillip) and Vanessa Hudgens (as ethereal and unknowingly cursed Princess Aurora) will appear in the collector’s edition Disney Twenty Three magazine shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. The “Sleeping Beauty” themed shoot, adding to the list of Disney Dream Portrait Series part of the “What Will You Celebrate” campaign, will be accompanied by an interview. Disney23.com debuts March 10th.

Don’t throw things at me but I’m just not loving this pic. I keep looking at it hoping it will grow on me but nothing. First off Efron looks like that kid Jeremy Jackson who used to be on Baywatch. I see his face everytime. Secondly the bronzer is just out of control. I feel like Efron finally got away from the makeup jokes and now they are going to come back in full force:( The best of the pic though is his hair. Not gonna lie.

I actually really love Vanessa in this pic. She truly looks like a sleeping beauty. That color on her ins gorge too. I’m sorry but i have to agree with DEE on this…the make up is out in full force and the boy doesn’t need anyone else pointing it out that he still wears it. The hair is pretty good and I love the dark blue on him and the look on his face is just a dreamy prince look, but i can’t get over the make up. OK, thorw things at me now…I’m ducking. haha kidding.

I really like both in the picture. The makeup didn’t bother me too much, it seemed to fit in with the theme of the picture. What struck me the wrong way was the awkward position they put Zac’s body in. It looks a little uncomfortable. Other than that, I’m impressed.

Beatiful photo. The light, the chemistry, the angle, perfect I can’t lie about that. BUT and I’m sorry to say, for me is not portraying Sleeping Beauty. For me it looks like a remake of Romeo and Juliet mix with a modern Twilight Edward and Bella. If it weren’t for the dress ( which complements her in everyway, girl is beatifull) it would have been hard to guess. And I have to agree that shade of blue really complements Mr. Efron.
True what they say pictures say 1000 words. And I love how they change Aurora to be awake makeing it more intense, and harder to predict the story behind.
And with this final note I must say, a lot of people see Zac and Vanessa as the prince and princess of Disney, and I must admit that with this shoot, not that hard to picture.

I’m impressed too, Lalala! I have to say that I’m really loving the picture.
I was hoping for a super fantasy, sexy type shot and the feeling of it is exactly how I pictured it.
Vanessa is beautiful, her hair looks gorgeous and her dress is pink! There’s no way I could not love it. Kristen, I agree, she really fits the sleeping beauty role in this picture. Carolee, I also like that they kept her ‘awake’ for the shot. It looks quite dramatic, especially with Zac’s face right next to hers.
As for Zac–he looks absolutely amazing. I love his jacket, his ruffly lace shirt and I think his make up just adds to the dramatic affect of the picture and helps to contrast V. Plus…he totally has some scruff! Talk about a hot, updated version of a prince. haha
Dee, Efron’s hair is almost always the best part of any pic. Glad you finally agree.

I think you have to look at it and not think about that it is Zac and Vanessa, you have to look at it as them being posed as characters. If Efron had make up like that in a photo shoot where he was being shot as himself, I’d be rather angry at whoever was in charge of the situation. I actually get kinda a Snow White vibe from her though – with the make up/lighting she looks so pale in contrast to him. Anyway… I really like the concept in general of picking them for this.

The reason he has so much make up on its because of the situation. My stepdad is a photographer and he said they prob did that to make the scene seem more realstic. Cause this isn’t just a picture its a potrait but they both look hot!

I love it. The make up does throw you off at first but it’s like kamolie said and men in that era actually did wear more makeup then women. I think it’s a beautiful picture.

I love this picture! His make up is a little much but if you think about it, in the movie, Prince Phillip had just defeated the dragon and he’s racing to his princess to kiss her and wake her up. He’s gonna be a little flushed. I think it completely works when you think about it.
Other than that, I think the picture is perfect. I really like that they picked this couple for Zac and Vanessa. Although I will admit that my favorite couple is Belle and the Beast. I wonder what Zac would look like as the beast?

Ok, I know I’m late to the party but still, I just wanted to add my absolute love for this photo. For me, everything about it is so well crafted to really make it seem like Phillip and Aurora come to life, from the costumes to the makeup and the staging. I’m also kinda digging the slight role-reversal in having V’s eyes open and Zac’s closed…don’t ask me why, I just do.
Ooh, slightly off-topic…being the impatient girl I am, I’m totally watching a slightly-less-than-legal copy of the Twilight dvd’s audio commentary on youtube and I practically squealed because Rob name drops Efron!
He, Kristen and director Catherine Hardwicke were joking about how now they’ve made money from Twilight they can recast someone better for Edward’s role and Rob blurts out, “Yeah, we can definitely do better now…Where’s Efron?!”

I like the ‘role-reversal’ of this picture too. I also like how Zac and Vanessa are the focus of the shot and we’re not distracted by too much background. Emma, intimate is the perfect word!

life is so unfair. i can’t go to the uk premiere of 17 Again and now they’ve just changed the release date here to 10th April and i can’t go that day either because im attending a wedding!! ahhh… why! lol

audrey – at first it was on april 17th, like the US and then they changed the date to the 10th April. I checked yesterday and it said the 17th and now it says the 10th. its on the ‘cineworld’ website and on imbd.
and the 17th was the best day to watch it, now i don’t think i will be able to see it until the 13th!!
