“MAOW” is named one of NBR’s Top Indie Films of 2009!
Me and Orson Welles has been made named one of the top ten Indie films of 2009 by the National Board of Review, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This is is pretty high honor and is also good indicator for award season. Other Indie films mentioned were: Amreeka, District 9, Goodbye Solo, Humpday, In the Loop, Julia, Moon, Sugar and Two Lovers. Also in award news, according to Variety Christian McKay is nominated for a Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for Me and Orson Welles. Other actors nominated in this category are: Jemaine Clement – “Gentlemen Broncos”, Woody Harrelson – “The Messenger”, Raymond McKinnon – “That Evening Sun”, and Christopher Plummer – “The Last Station”. The winners will be announced March 5th.
