The Paperboy Interview and Stills
Thursday, March 7th, 2013The Paperboy is due to be released in several countries worldwide over the coming weeks so more media is being revealed including new interviews and images!
Zac was interviewed for The West Australian about his role in the movie, his thoughts on his co-stars and his experiences shooting an independent movie over big budget. Check out an excerpt below and the full interview HERE.
“There were no trailers to run back to, no three-hour waits between scenes, no big rehearsals or hours of hair and make-up. We didn’t have hair and make-up. We were on set filming the entire time. It was a marathon and everyone hunkered down and just focused. I’ve never been a part of anything like this; it was absolutely unreal. This is more explorative and experimental than anything I’ve ever seen.”
“I feel very blessed to be in the position I’m in,” he says. “I’m still young and hungry and ambitious but I’m sort of at a crossroads. I feel like I’m constantly faced with two paths. There’s the road that leads to something everybody’s already seen and there’s the more challenging road, which tends to be more confusing and definitely the harder road to take. Inevitably I’ll try to take that road when I can.”
MovieClips has also released a short interview with Zac about his first reaction when he read the script – check it out here! A number of new stills from the movie have been released which are available to view below. The Paperboy is in theaters now in Australia and will be released in the UK on March 15th – we can’t wait for everyone to see it!
In other news, At Any Price will be screened at SxSW in Texas and also at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this month – no word yet on whether Zac will be attending either screening, but check back for more info as its revealed!
