Zac Efron is featured in InStyle’s August 2010 Issue in an editorial called ‘Zac Efron: Man Of Style‘. The piece includes pictures from a new photoshoot (photographed by Doug Inglish) as well as a short interview when Zac talks about “going incognito” and his style. Check out the video above to see a recent ET interview segment with Zac on the Charlie St. Cloud set! It seems like this is just the start of the Charlie St Cloud promotion as there are rumors on Twitter of future appearances. It states HERE that Zac will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel next month and HERE that he’ll be doing an interview at the Dodger Stadium tomorrow (July 1). It also seems that Zac will be doing an interview for Parade Magazine soon, as this was tweeted earlier by @NicholasBBL:
Putting together a package of samples for a Zac Efron shoot for Parade. Crème de la crème, indeed.
These are of course all rumor and cannot currently be confirmed. We’ll keep you updated on ZAAngels with all of the Charlie St Cloud promotional material as its released!
Zac is on the cover of this month’s special double issue of People Magazine featuring their annual ‘50 Most Amazing Bodies‘ AND he is number one!
The article (which uses the recent Hawaiian candids) says:
“Alo-ha! The High School Musical star, 22, graduates to sex symbol – and tops PEOPLE’s list – after showing off his ripped form in the Hawaiian surf recently. “My fail-safe is to go to the gym for an hour,” the actor, who appears (shirtless!) in the summer drama Charlie St. Cloud, has said.”
The magazine hits newsstands on Friday but we’ve got early scans (thanks to Kerry!) in the ZacE gallery.
Zac is in currently in Hawaii and is being honored with the “Shining Star Award” at the 2010 Maui Film Festival. The Honolulu Star Advertiser asked him a few questions about the award, Charlie St. Cloud and more:
What was your reaction when you learned that the Maui Film Festival was going to give you its Shining Star Award?
I was stoked. Not only is it a huge honor, but I’ve been looking for a chance to come back to the island. I have so many great memories there.
What attracted you to your role in “Charlie St. Cloud”?
It looked challenging and fun. It’s a different type of character than I have done before. His journey is a powerful one. It really left me thinking.
Because it’s so different from some of your previous roles—it’s been described as a departure from “squeaky clean” to serious drama—what do you hope it will do for your acting career?
“Charlie St. Cloud” still has that wish fulfillment that the audience would expect based on my other films. However, it feels more suspenseful, mysterious and supernatural. It is a much more emotional role. I hope it serves as a memorable transition into older, more complex characters.
It has been widely reported online today that Zac Efron will be starring in and producing the new movie ‘Snabba Cash‘.
The film, which was a blockbuster in Sweden earlier this year, has reportedly been purchased by Warner Brothers for Zac’s production company to create in fact, the movie was so in demand that six huge production companies have reportedly been biding for it!).
‘Snabba Cash‘ will be based on the novel of the same name and follows three interconnected storylines about drug smuggling and organised crime. Zac would play a young financial wiz who hopes to become rich quickly by becoming a drug runner (the title ‘Snabba Cash’ actually means ‘fast money’ in Swedish!).

Brian Bendis, creator of Fire, was recently interviewed by IGN Comics and talked in some depth about Zac and his role in the development of their new film.
IGN Comics: So one of the more shocking news items related to you was you driving around with Zac Efron. I know my whole office was talking about it – “Like, what the hell?” It’s interesting, when I go into a store I see Jinx, I see Powers… I don’t see Fire…
Bendis: Fire actually sells really well, perhaps because it’s cheaper. That’s why I remastered it, because I was selling a lot of these and it was an earlier work…. I hate to tell you how old the book is, that’s how old it is… Zac Efron was something like four years old or something. –laughs- But it’s constantly been in print this whole time. And every time I get back the accruals for the quarter I’m like “Really! Okay!” –laughs- It’s just odd and funny.
