Zac, rocking the charity’s star shaped pin on his collar, attended last night’s 2011 Trevor Live Event for The Trevor Project at the Hollywood Palladium. His New Year’s Eve co-star Michelle Pfeiffer appeared on stage alongside him, to tell a story from the hotline, as well as introduce a performance from Queen Latifah.

The charity is “the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth”.

Zac donated a HUGE mound of clothes and shoes to ‘The Teen’s Closet‘ in Arroyo Grande yesterday (Tuesday). The charity provides clothing for disadvantaged and homeless teens and parents and this new center in California opened earlier this month.

Zac is a very charitable person having supported many charities and met dozens of disadvantaged people during his career. During Zac’s promotional tour for Charlie St. Cloud, the Starlight Children’s Foundation granted 18 year old Lama her biggest wish. The charity arranged for Lama, who has Spina Bifida, to have a tea party at Claridges with Zac, followed by red carpet passes to the movie premiere later that night.

Zac Efron joined Lama and her family, where he chatted easily with excited Lama.  The High School Musical star then presented Lama with a bracelet that had a line from his favourite film, Back to the Future’ inscribed, which read ‘where we are going we don’t need roads’.  When saying goodbye, beaming Lama thanked Zac and he signed her copy of Charlie St Cloud, the book of the film premiere that both Zac and Lama were due to attend that evening.

Zac is featured in a video in support of the ‘Zac Gives Back‘ campaign for the ‘I’m Too Young For This Cancer Foundation‘. In it, he gives support to the charity as he talks about his cousin and close friend Emily – a part of the i2y team – who survived cancer.

Zac attended the 2011 LA Family Housing Awards at the Magic Box Theater in Los Angeles last night (May 12). He looked dapper is a black suit as he posed with Warner Brothers’ Sue Kroll and the event manager Blair Rich. The event, which was hosted by George Lopez, aims to “help families transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services“.

Always one to support those in need, Zac has kindly donated a pair of signed Nike Zoom Trainers to a charity auction, in support of the Third Annual Hillsides Foster Soles campaign. The money raised goes to Hillsides, a charity that creates safe places for children and the auction closes on May 16th.

Zac spent the weekend back in his hometown of San Luis Obispo, CA and was spotted helping out at the town’s 3rd Annual Walk for Autism. He signed autographs and posed for fun pictures with the walkers as they raised money for charity.
