‘New Years Eve’ Movie Negotiations

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zac is currently in negotiations to play a role in the follow-up to hit movie ‘Valentines Day’ entitled ‘New Years Eve‘.

The movie tells intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year’s Eve. Efron is on track to play a bike messenger who ends up trying to fulfill Pfeiffer’s New Year’s Eve resolutions in exchange for tickets to a big party. The movie, being directed by Garry Marshall, was initially to shoot mid-December but is now eyeing a Feb. 1 start in New York.

Other stars who are currently in negotiations for roles include Halle Berry, Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. What do you think of the new possible role? Let us know in the comments!

Potential Projects: ‘The Lucky One’ & ‘Die in a Gunfight’

Deadline reports that Zac is close on signing his next two movie roles: The Lucky One and Die in a Gunfight. Here is a little background on both projects:

“His likely next pic is The Lucky One, a Scott Hicks-directed adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel for Warner Bros and producer Denise DiNovi and Kevin McCormick. Efron will play a soldier who returns from Iraq with a picture of a girl that became his good luck charm. He seeks out the girl and they develop a relationship. Will Fetters and Doug McGrath wrote the script.”

ET Interview and CSC Updates

Check out the video above to see a recent ET interview segment with Zac on the Charlie St. Cloud set! It seems like this is just the start of the Charlie St Cloud promotion as there are rumors on Twitter of future appearances. It states HERE that Zac will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel next month and HERE that he’ll be doing an interview at the Dodger Stadium tomorrow (July 1).  It also seems that Zac will be doing an interview for Parade Magazine soon, as this was tweeted earlier by @NicholasBBL:

Putting together a package of samples for a Zac Efron shoot for Parade. Crème de la crème, indeed.

These are of course all rumor and cannot currently be confirmed. We’ll keep you updated on ZAAngels with all of the Charlie St Cloud promotional material as its released!

Zac to star in ‘Snabba Cash’?

It has been widely reported online today that Zac Efron will be starring in and producing the new movie ‘Snabba Cash‘.

The film, which was a blockbuster in Sweden earlier this year, has reportedly been purchased by Warner Brothers for Zac’s production company to create in fact, the movie was so in demand that six huge production companies have reportedly been biding for it!).

Snabba Cash‘ will be based on the novel of the same name and follows three interconnected storylines about drug smuggling and organised crime. Zac would play a young financial wiz who hopes to become rich quickly by becoming a drug runner (the title ‘Snabba Cash’ actually means ‘fast money’ in Swedish!).

Zac Efron to Star in Untitled Mandate Pictures Thriller

Although the actor has yet to comment, according to the Hollywood Reporter the 21-year-old has apparently signed on to star in an as-yet-to-be-titled Mandate Pictures film.

Zac Efron has signed to star in an untitled thriller for Mandate Pictures, which is being written by Leslie Dixon.
The plot is being kept under wraps but it is described as “a sexy thriller.” The deal continues the evolution of Efron from the teen heartthrob of the “High School Musical” franchise to a more mature leading man, and also sees him stepping into producing shoes. He will act as executive producer with Mandate’s Nathan Kahane.

Zac Efron ready for new ‘Life’

london9-215x300According to Variety, Zac is slated to star in the adaptation of the book The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.  This movie would once again team Zac up with his 17 director Burr Steers.  At this point Zac’s deal is still being negotiated, but if it’s a go filming would start in July.  Here is a little snippet from the book:
