First Sighting:

Zac sees Vanessa on screen playing Tintin in Thunderbirds and admits to an interviewer at the premiere that he’d like to work with her.

First Meeting:

Auditions for High School Musical. Zac and Vanessa are paired together all day because their chemistry was so evident.

First Documented Kiss:

 A kiss was filmed for HSM but was cut. In addition, Corbin missed his cue during filming for the end sequence and instead of being interrupted, Zac and Vanessa kissed away.

 First Red Carpet Appearance as a Couple:

 Zac took Vanessa along as his date to the 2008 Palm Springs International Film Festival, where he received an award along with the Hairspray cast for Best Ensemble.

First On-Screen Kiss:

 After almost two whole movie lengths of interruptions, Zac and Vanessa’s on-screen incarnations, Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, finally kissed at the end of HSM 2 not once, not twice, but three times!

Zac was featured on the August 2007 cover of Rolling Stones magazine. When asked about Vanessa, he is quoted as saying:”The weird thing that no one expected about Vanessa [Hudgens] is that underneath such a sweet girl – this Gabriella type character, is a very, very sexy woman.”

Vanessa is featured on the February 2008 cover of Seventeen magazine. Her tidbits about Zac include: “He always makes me happy. He literally knows exactly what to do to make me laugh.” and “it’s hard when you have a good-looking boyfriend. You want your man to be your man. You don’t want all these girls up on him and stuff like that. But you have to trust yourself and know that you’re a good person. And if you genuinely like them and don’t want to do anything to hurt them, that’s the most you can say.”

First Joint Award:

 Zac and Vanessa won ‘Best On-Screen Chemistry’ at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards for their portrayal of Troy and Gabriella in HSM.

First Joint Magazine Cover:

 Zac and Vanessa were featured on the cover of the September 2007 isue of People magazine under the heading, “Their Real-Life Romance!” It was the first time the two were featured exclusively on their own.

First Magazine Dedicated Solely to Them:

In Fall of 2007, Popstar released a special edition magazine. It chronicled their relationship from on-set to off.

First Kuuipo Ring Sighting:

The two wear matching Kuuipo rings on their right hands. For those of you who don’t know, Kuippo means ‘Sweetheart’ in Hawaiian and the rings are used as commitment rings.

First (public) Sporting Event:

Although technically Zac and Vanessa attended an Ultimate Fighting Match (w/HSM director Kenny Ortega: Read the story HERE ) there were no pictures from that particular outing. The above however, is a fan photo of the two attending an LA Sparks match in 2006.
